Permanent Residency Obligations

Hello Everyone ,

i am currently working for Canadian business for Full time and its 100 % remote Job.

Since its a remote job , i was outside of canada for most of the time and worked.

Does the number of days which i was outside of canada count for residency days as rule says

1. outside Canada employed on a full-time basis by a Canadian business or in the federal public administration or the public service of a province,

Unlikely IRCC would credit you for your time outside of Canada. In order to qualify to count time abroad, you would have to have been assigned to a position outside of Canada. Remote work isn’t a foreign work assignment, that was your choice.

Remote work doesn’t count. Your Canadian company needs to transfer you to one of their foreign offices.
