Good morning everyone,

I posted on here a few weeks ago and received some very helpful information and now I have another question. I have received a job offer with a minimum 1 year contract, do I have to complete this one year before applying for my PR or since it is a contract position for a minimum of one year am I able to apply for my PR before the 1 year is completed?

Background information:
I am currently on a 3 year PGWP after completing my paralegal degree. My job offer is not in the field I went to school for, it is an office manager position and I am wondering if this falls under the NOC 0,A,B requirement in order to be eligible to apply for PR.

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Sinead

You need one year full time completed before you can apply for anything.

Only you know what your duties are versus which NOC applies http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Hi thank you for your reply.

I am unsure what you mean by "only you know what your duties are versus which NOC applies"

I was under the impression that as long as I complete 1 year in a job position under the NOC category A,B,O then I am eligible to apply for my PR, regardless of what my degree is in?

Thank you again.

You asked if your job is NOC A, B or 0. No one on the forum except you knows what your job duties are, so no one can tell you what NOC your job is.

Hello everyone,

I got my 3 years PGWP and a job offer for NOC B from a bank, but it is not a contract of one year. Can I still apply for my PR on the behalf of the same?

Thanks
Tee
