Hi,
Me and my Common Law partner lived for several years together and I got My PR Card. I have been seperated from my Common Law partner for half a year now - l moved back to germany. Now i looks like we are getting back together :)
My Question:
I never changes my status - single or seperated with my PR Card / CIC account or anything else. Not sure if I suppose too?
Is my Permanent residence card still okay or did I loose my Common Law / Permanet Residence Card status? Do I have to apply again and send proof of relationship?

Thank you so much,
Emma

Your status is irrelevant for the purposes of maintaining your PR status. There is no need to let IRCC know about separations.

Your PR status has nothing to do with your relationship now that you are a PR. What matters for maintaing PR is to make sure you meet the residency obligation.

Thank you scylla.

What would me a residency obligation?

The residency obligation is the same for everyone. You have to live in Canada for a minimum of 730 days out of every five rolling years.
