Hello all. My parents are applying for the PR through the Permanent Residence Pathway for Colombian, Haitian and Venezuelan Nationals and the IRCC is requesting my father’s Military Card or Libreta Militar from Colombia. My father is 83 and the Military service in Colombia ends when the citizen reaches 50 years old, so long story short, my father lost his MC and because of his age the National Army won’t issue a duplicate.
My father obtained a Certificate from the National Army explaining that people over 50 don’t require a Military Card but that certification was not good for the IRCC.
I would like to see if there’s anyone facing the same issue and possible solutions. Thanks!
