I just got a Passport Request for Permanent Residence in Canada.
Just some questions...
1.) What should I do if I lose my passport after getting the Permanent visa? I intend to do a long travel before migrating and after quitting my current job. In my itinerary are places you have to bring your passport all along or where theft is prevalent...
2.) I applied/was nominated by the SINP. One of the terms is that I stay in that province. How long should I stay there?
3.) According to CIC website, I have to stay in a certain number of years within 5 years to get the visa renewed or be citizen. When does 5 years become retroactive? When I get the passport with the stamp? The moment I arrive in Canada?
4.) Is there a place in the Manila (where I am right now) that gives transition lessons to Canada or just SK. I did the application all by myself.
5.) Can I use the Permanent Visa to travel for short term reasons (e.g. tourism reasons OR to study the conditions in the province) then return to the country of origin afterwards?
Sorry some of these questions may sound very naive but I felt all along that my chances in my application were 'just give it a try'/'needle-in-a-haystack'...
