For any country except country of your current residence, PCC should have been issued after the day you left that country.

So, it means yes, you need a new PCC

Hi, thanks for the reply. But I am resident by visa there , and go back and forth frequently. And am only providing a PCC because I have a resident status as I haven't lived there in the last 10 years for more than 6 months.

Also in order to get a PCC, you have to be a resident and inside the country.
What's your opinion ?

If you havent been there for accumulated 6 months, then you dont need a PCC.

Thanks

"For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.

For countries in which the applicant no longer lives, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the client lived in that country."

You have resident status but that is NOT your current country of residence as you're stating that you live in another country - therefore it must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

Btw you must get a PCC for a country for which you lived for a total of more than 6 months since the age of 18 - there is no "in the last 10 years" rule.

Hi thanks for your view, however, you must be present in that country in order to obtain pcc. Also the 2nd country I have lived there for over 6 month's when I was 18. So therefore my pcc again would be dated before or the same day of my new 2nd country pcc. I believe since I am a resident there it should be counted as a current living scenario and not a visit However I have not lived there only visited for leisure and that's what I wrote for my travel history. Advise pls.

I want to help but i'm struggling to understand what you're trying to say.

Sorry it's a confusing situation. Basically I'm trying to say that even if I get the new pcc from 2nd country of residence it will be dated before my trip since you have to be in the country to request .

Hi. How can I do that ? Cic Website mentioned a in Canada toll free number.

I would agree to what jes said on the other thread then, as long as you received that PCC within the past 6 months you can use it and explain your situation in a LOE.
