My question is, do we need PCC from the countries we are coming from for soft landing? Or even for main landing? Do they ask for updated PCC from home countries at immigration in Canada?

Once your PR application is Submitted/Approved, then you don't have to get any new PCC's. They only ask you a question from COPR, "Have you committed any crime before entering Canada?". If you say NO, then they will put it in your COPR.
