PCC (police verification in ITA)

Hi all,

I had a question regarding PCC which is done in ITA. I have been working in Pune from 2016 and prior to that I was in Punjab. My permanent address is of Punjab which is also in my passport. In Pune I don't have rent agreements or proofs of addresses where I have been staying for past couple of years.
Could you please help me with this PCC process ? Should I mention only Punjab's address and get it done from punjab or should I get it done from Pune??

Is it ok if I just mention my permanent address as there would be my employment proofs also in Pune?

How to proceed with this??
Should I get my current address in Pune straight or should have proof of current address in Pune?

Please help me with all the required details. Please post helpful suggestions.

First question is, Do you have an address in Pune there is no need to submit any proof of address just the current address that you live in regardless
Second question is, is the indian PCC state specific or is it issued as a general PCC for all indian states
