Hi Guys ,

Could you please let me know on below :
I haven't added my dependents as part of my EE profile.
In that case when ITA is received do I also need to submit the PCCs for my dependents too ?
My spouse is not going to accompany me to Canada , at least, not for the initial years , so do I need to submit her PCC if I receive an ITA.

non accompanying still has to get medicals and PCC

So in case if any of the dependents have stayed for more than 6 mnths in other country then they have to get PCC from that area ?

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...er-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html#s04

search for Police Certificates... and refer the following:

Individuals who must submit this documentation
  • The principal applicant
  • Their spouse or common-law partner
  • Their dependent children 18 years of age or older, including non-accompanying
The same will go for Medical Examination.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the link,I went through it.
Nowhere could I find saying the principal applicant should be submitting his dependents PCC.

Purpose
To determine if the applicant or their family members have a criminal record or poses a security risk to Canada

Here above could be applicable to PAs who are applying with spouse traveling with them to Canada.

For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.

Here above is for the PA

Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.

Here above again I feel its applicable for PA

Individuals who must submit this documentation

The principal applicant
Their spouse or common-law partner
Their dependent children 18 years of age or older, including non-accompanying

And here above again I think the above is mentioned for PA having his/her spouse accompanying with him.

Could you please clarify.

If you have dependents such as your wife and children(18 and above), you have to provide there PCC irrespective whether they are accompanying you or not!

once you get ITA you'll get the list of needed documents. if they ask for your spouse's PCC provide it, if they don't, they don't.

You absolutely do need to provide PCC for any dependents, accompanying or not. This is to determine if any of them are criminally inadmissible. If any of them are, accompanying or not, you would also be inadmissable.

Ok guys, thanks all could anyone please tell the shortest way to obtain a PCC for US and UK.
Is there any agency who could help, get us these.

I found the below link for PCCs.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...n/medical-police/police-certificates/how.html

Quick questions :

My spouse went to the US and UK and stayed there for more than 6 months after marriage, though her passport had the maiden name.
Last year after returning to India she changed the passport with her after marriage name.
Now, while filling the PCC for US and UK which name should be used while filling out the forms.

Some more research and found that the name on PCC should be the one for which one has stayed in a particular country.
So in my case the maiden name of my spouse.
Thanks guys.

On the UK application you provide a list of other names that you have used.
