Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to get some clarity on a specific document scanning requirement and would really appreciate your insights.

My Situation:
I have a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Bangladesh which consists of two pages:
  1. The main certificate from the local police station, which has original signatures and colored ink stamps.
  2. An attached e-Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which certifies the main document. This e-Apostille page was officially issued and printed in black and white and has a QR code for electronic verification.
My Confusion:
I know that IRCC has a very strict rule that "Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in color." I will definitely be scanning the main certificate (page 1) in full color.

My question is about the second page, the e-Apostille. Since this page was originally generated in black and white from the Police headquarter itself, is a high-quality black and white scan of it acceptable? Or does the fact that it is part of the "police certificate" document mean it also must be scanned in color, even if that adds no value?

My thinking is that the authenticity of the e-Apostille is verified by its QR code, so a clear B&W scan should be sufficient. However, I'm worried an officer might apply the rule strictly and reject the entire file because one page isn't in color.

My Question:
Has anyone here submitted a PCC that included a black and white supplementary page like an e-Apostille or another electronic certification? Was it accepted without any issues?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience and advice
