Payment of fees

Hello all, I am trying to make the payment to sponsor my husband. I am outside of Canada (in London, UK) and my credit card payment keeps failing. I am making the payment as if it will be processed in Canada, although after the initial assessments they send it back to the London office... when I try to make the payment from outside Canada it says something about bank drafts... Does anybody know how this works? Hope that all makes sense! Thank you, Jenn

Hello @JennD - are you saying that you are going online to the CIC website and getting a failed response from them? Are you using one of their accepted credit cards?

Hi again, just checked the CIC website and you may have to pay through a bank. See below.

Although the system is currently available only to applicants who apply through a CPC in Canada, once the Department has established a common system, the payment of fees through the Internet will be expanded to include other in-Canada services and services to clients in foreign countries.

For more information on CIC's online services, visit the Department's website at https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/ols/ols.do.

Just Google how to pay via your visa office location and you should be able to find the updated info.

Thank you for your reply. I used my HSBC credit card and it worked! It didn't like my Marriott Rewards credit card...
