just a quick question on paying the fees online...
does the credit card have to be in your name?? my credit card has a limit of 1000$ per day even though i have enough to pay it off. i tried to use my moms card to pay the fees but it keeps saing "incomplete" i know it has nothing to do with her card as she has a 10,000$ limit with no charges on it. is there any other reason it could be doing this??
please help, thanks

some cards doesn't have online paying features (or limit too low for paying online). you have to ask the card-issuing bank for upgrading it.

I am in canada and I am sponsoring wife who is in India. On cic website, they said, "Immigration Applications for Persons in Canada"?

Can I apply online as my wife is outside canada.

Thanks

i think they mean if you are sending the applications to a location in canada even if they will end up sending them to india, just make sure you put the number '1' under "family class".

Do two separate payments. Today make the payment for sponsorship 475 and the principal applicant 75$ fee (550) . Then tomorrow do the right of permanent resident fee - 490. I did mine with two different cards.

Yes, there will be two receipts. I sent them both. The online system let me pay them separately. I have seen on this forum where others only paid the sponsor and principal applicant fee when they started and then paid the rest of it afterward so there shouldn't be any problem with doing two. I cant guarantee anything since we are still in process but I cant see why it would be any different than paying the first two fees and then a month later paying the other one.

If you pay now (on same day or next day), your application wont get delayed and you can send receipt with one go. Just my thought.

This is exactly what I did.

Paid them a few days apart, paid off the first one and then paid the second one when it cleared. Had the money in the bank account but only have a $1000 on my one card that I was using.

We just sent both receipts in together.

thanks everyone for answering! it finally worked :))
is the first reciept they sent the one i should send in or do i have to wait for another one to be sent, one that i must fill out?

ok they sent the one i should fill out but what is a client id???

If you are a "made in Canada" citizen then you dont have one. Client Ids are for people who have already been assigned one by CIC. Leave it blank! If you were sending in the RPRF on its own after it has been requested (you didnt pay it up front) then you would have a client id. We were assigned one when we got our letter from CIC -M stating that I was approved as sponsor.
