I am a canadian (sponsor) Paying the Fees for my american wife (the applicant). Once the payment is made and i print the reciept, i have to fill it out with payer information, do i put my information or my wifes (the applicants info?) also, my credit card address is different then my residential address/mailing on my application. which address do i put?
thanks!

You put your information as the sponsor. I think you would put whatever address you used on your application.

YOu put the information of the applicant on the receipt and you mailing address. the applicant is the info on the receipt

Hubby and I had the same problem. We solved it by putting both names :D And stating who's the sponsor and who's the applicant, of course.

But I'm pretty sure you should put your mailing address, for all they care you could be paying with somebody else's credit card as long as the payment details match /your/ application.

My attorney filled mine, so im giving you how it was done for me . I guess it makes sense to put the applicants information on it sice the applicant is the one making the payment to get his paperwork processed.

Well - theoretically - the applicant is paying the application fee, but the sponsor is paying the sponsorship fee... so if you want everything done superperfectly you would have to pay in two parts, and print and fill out two separate receipts *ponders*

Curious issue, I hope someone can shed some official light.

This application is about the applicant , not the sponsor.

No, actually the application is for the sponsor to "Sponsor" the applicant. On their website it says to enter the info of the payer, and since that was me as the sponsor I put in my information.

And this thread also says its the sponsor that fills it out

ok then do whatever your attorney ask you to do

I'M SPONSORING MY HUSBAND. I HAVE FINALLY GATHERED ALL THE DOCUMENTATION AND IT IS ALL READY TO BE MAILED TO IMMIGRATION. THERE IS ONLY ONE PROBLEM AND IT HAS TO DO WITH THE PAYMENT RECEIPT. I HAD TO USE MY MOM'S AMEX FOR THIS BECAUSE OF MY CREDIT CARD LIMIT (I LIKE TO KEEP IT LOW TO RESTRICT MY CARD USAGE). WHOSE INFORMATION SHOULD I PROVIDE ON THE "PAYER'S INFORMATION SECTION"?
I'VE LOOKED EVERYWHERE AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? THE CLIENT ID PART MAKES ME SUSPECT THAT IT SHOULD BE EITHER THE SPONSOR OR THE APPLICANT, BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN ASSIGNED ONE YET...UGHHH, SO FRUSTRATING!

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY AND DEEPLY APPRECIATED! lol

THANK YOU

Reading a post full of capital letters is not very pleasing to the eyes.

You are fine. I used my dad's credit card to make the payment. I filled in the receipt with my (the sponsor's) information. I don't have a UCI number, so I left it blank. If you've never dealt with CIC before, you won't have a UCI number, so leaving it blank it perfectly fine.
