Passports Submitted - Child's PP photo > 3 yrs old

I got Medicals & PP request from CHC - Delhi on 29th Sep. Completed meds on 21st Oct and submitted pp on 29th Oct. Wife and I have India pp and child has US pp. After sending passports and going thru some of the threads in this forum we realized that the child photo should have been less that 3 yrs old in the PP ( he is less than 5). Need help on these questions I have:

1) Is there anyone who sent their child's (less than 5 yrs old child) PP with PP photo more than 3 yrs old, and still got the visa stamped?
2) In case CHC Delhi returns the child's PP for making amends, will they send my and my wife's PP as well?
3) Its been 2 weeks since we sent our passports. I am in Delhi and have to leave to US for a year to pursue a masters degree in mid-Dec. If I do not recv my passport by last week of Nov, can I request CHC - Delhi to send our passports back.

Appreciate any helpful suggestions from forum.

i had the same issue . passports of all the family members retured. i made a new passport for my minor kid, and submitted again. they will never issue u visa untill all the issues r resolved.good luck

we have got new passport made for our child before submitting complete documents to new delhi. cos the representative told us it is necessary. hope it helps.

Thanks Sharma77 and Doc28 for the replies. However by good luck I got the stamped passports for the family and we have been asked to land in Canada within next year. Its wonderful news and I look fwd to moving to Canada.

However, as I mentioned in my original post that I will be leaving for USA soon for a one year masters study, I have some questions and look fwd to suggestions:

1) I have already paid good part of my tuition fee for the US course so there is no backing out now..also the university is in top 20 there , so I am planning to attend the course and will move to Canada once my course is complete.
Just wanted to know if US degrees are as acceptable in Canada as local ones?

2) Can a US degree make up for lack of Canada work exp when I look for a job? I have 7 yrs of US exp ..can it be considered similar to Canada work exp.

3) After I leave for US, maybe after couple of months I would travel by bus to Canada for a couple of days to do the landing stuff ( 2 days off is all I would be able to take from the course). Can my US F1 visa on passport be questioned? I mean on being asked, can I tell the border officer that I am going to Canada for couple of days to complete the landing formality and will return to Canada again after completion of the course.

4) For the two days, I will be staying with my relatives whose address is on the COPR. Will my PR card me mailed to this address and how much time it can take?
