Hi , my eligibility period from 30-01-2018 To 29-01-2023, my current and only passport is valid from 31-01-2018 to 30-01-2023 , will they ask for my passport before 31-01-2018 ? Just one day out of eligibility period!

If it's within the eligibility period, then yes.
If it's not, as in your eligibility changes (wait an extra day) then not required.

It is quite simple, one day or 10 days, they usually go by the requirements. For any periods that there was a gap or you couldn't provide it, a letter of explanation attached to your application helps.

Include everything even if the validity of the passport vs eligibility has a one day gap.
Don’t attempt shortcuts
