Passport validity, stuck in dilemma

Dear Members,

Is there any passport validity condition for Express Entry.
My points are 460 and I feel that I should receive ITA within next couple of draws.

My passport is expiring on August 2016. My problem is that IELTS results have this passport number and I really don’t want to give another IELTS exam. Hence I am not renewing my passport.

Assuming that I will receive ITA in December month
1) Is there any validity condition about passport validity while submitting application?
2) I was thinking of renewing my passport after receiving ITA or should I do that after submitting my documents? Is it allowed?
3) Or should I wait for the decision and if it comes in my favor and I am granted PR, only after then I renew my passport?

Any help is appreciated.

Similar my case, just sent renewed passport when received PPR along with letter of explanation.

Wish you will get ITA and get PR before August 2016.

It doesnt matter if your ielts has old passport number because the new passport contains old passport number, so dont worry about that.

You should have a valid passport when applying and you can always update cic in case you get a new one. If you want to break free from all that hassle, go ahead and renew your passport.

Whatever you chose, you will need a new passport so why not do it right away and get away with all unnecessary stress.

hey same matter.
CIC are processing my application but now my passeport expires in 6 months. I don't know what to do because in my country you don't have the same passeport number when you change it. So...

Passport was expiring 2 months after we submitted EE application. Principal Applicant has renewed his in the meantime, we've updated via CSE. And we've passed the eligibility.
