Hi guys, i am a Newbie and i want to ask you if anyone can give me an insight on what i have to do. here's the situation.
My wife and I got our MR Nov.18, 2013 and already done with the medical examination ECAS – “Medical Examination Received” The problem is my wife’s passport will expire on September 20,2014.She already book an appointment for passport renewal on the 9th of February 2014. If the PPR arrived before that scheduled passport renewal do we need to inform ADVO regarding that or just attached the old passport( with the visa ) to the new one and present both when leaving the country. We are here in UAE and passport renewal may take a while.

Thanks so much. every input will be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi NiqNok13,

I can't see much on your time line here and here is my thoughts.

First scenario: If you get your wife's new passport before you get your Passport Request, you have to let your visa office know immediately (I mean you have to send a scanned copy of new passport to your visa office), because passport number will be printed on the COPR document and any other documents.

Second scenario: If you get your PPR before Feb 9, 2014 (passport renewal appointment), I would recommend you to postpone your passport renewal process until you get your passports back from your visa office and finish your landing.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

hi Sarayu,

Thanks for the insight, I guess we just need to wait for the PPR and sort things out after that. Thanks again.
By the way did you receive you visa already?

Hi NiqNok13,

I haven't submitted my passports yet...because we had a new born baby on Nov 01, so we have to add him to the existing application first...so, getting delayed for a while.

Thanks,
Sarayu.
