passport validity of my dependent child expired

I have send my application for Canada FSWP, 2014 at 20th October, 2014. My dependent child passport validity date has expired at 10th November, 2014. Is it a cause to return my application documents? Is there any rules about this matter?

No, it is not a reason to reject your application. You may send a new photocopy of a bio page(s) of the passport later on, to your local visa office. This means after PER and AOR (i.e. after your file is transferred to a local visa office)

No issues at all. Get his passport renewed AS Soon As Possible , so that this is available for Medicals and Visa.
Make sure that passports of all applicants are valid for more than 14 months on the day on which you appear for medicals , so that you can avail maximum validity of visas

My son's passport expired in September and I've received PER two weeks ago.
We'll make him a new one these days and send a copy to visa office along with the documentation which they'll request after medicals.
This is the least of my concerns.....
