Passport Transmission via Dusseldorf VAC

Has anyone had experience with Dusseldorf VAC? My visitor visa got approved and I received the passport request letter but it seems like I have to go through Dusseldorf VAC. I have two and a half weeks between the passport submission date and the actual trip to Canada - is this realistic?
I called VAC but they keep avoiding the subject as they are not authorised to give any time estimates.

am in the same situation , at a time am trying to if i stamp my visa from new delhi VAC , if its not work ,then monday i will submit my passport through Dusseldorf VAC.
