Passport submission for student visa?

Hi All,

I am planning for a January 2017 intake in McMaster University & have a planned international trip between 1-7th December 2016. Any idea what is the average processing time for VISA application? When is the suitable time to submit my passport to the Embassy?

Any idea about online visa request? Do I have to submit my passport in this case?

Depends which office your passport would be processed. I believe you should submit in Nov mid or ends if you have your offer letter in hand. It could either take 5 days or a month, it's not fixed.
