Passport Sent to Ottawa for stamping ,what are the current timeline guys?

I sent in my passport yesterday, I it was received today Jun 28th in Ottawa. looking at the other forums it a 7-10 business day time frame until you receive your passport back in your hand with approval In the mean time you should be checking your CIC account for any updates, as they would update your account once your application is approved.

Is the VISA that is stamped on your passport different from the Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD)
And when did you get the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688)?
I have just got an email requesting my passport.

I read on a website that:

Permanent residents returning to Canada by airplane, boat, train or bus must show a valid Permanent Resident Card (PR card) or Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) before boarding.

I am guessing that PRTD doesn't concern our case? because it need the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688) but we have not obtained it yet.

PRTD is for current permanent residents. You aren't a PR yet. You become one only after you complete your landing.

Could you please share experience concerning the letter outlining the height and eye colour ? Is it a simple letter A4 that we write to CIC officer or does it need to be certificated by notary or a doctor ?

I did not received my passport back yet after stamping. Its still in Ottawa. I shall update once I receive my passport.

Passport received by Ottawa office on 22 June.. No update yet.
