Passport requested then how long before u get visa?

my parents got a letter to send their passports; they sent them mar22,2013 but haven,t heard from high commission. what should i do? wait or email them?how long does it normally take them to issue visa?

What is your LVO ( Which High Commission ) ?
Check my Signature for Parents Timeline, it will give you an idea about timeline
Is your High Commission - New Delhi? or was in CPP-O?, if New Delhi then it takes about 6 months if everything is OK on the file

From all that i have read New Dehli ask for the passports very early on.
