Passport Request Mail or Go In Person

The passport request is the last step in the permanent residence application. I'm working in Canada on a work permit so I'm wondering if it would be best to goto the immigration office in Niagara Falls when I get the request. I'm doing my medical exam on Friday so, results should be uploaded to CIC by mid-may latest. If I'm lucky I get Passport Request by end of June.

I'm a little confused on the next steps and have read abit about going to Niagara Falls Peace Bridge, but is that for the passport request stage?

I think you're mixing up the passport request stage with the landing stage.

Passport request is where you mail your passport to the address they specify - this is always done by mail.

When you get your passport back you take this to Peace Bridge or wherever to land.

I see, I was thinking maybe it could be done all in the same step. So upon the passports being returned would papers from CIC come in for the landing process?

Yup, your passport will come back with the confirmation of permanent residence.
