Hi Everyone,

I received a call from Delhi Immigration about my PR application then an email requesting my passport via VFS Global on 27-Mar-19 from DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca.

I went ahead and submitted my passport at VFS which is in transit.

Now, today I received another email with exactly same content but from - DoNotReply-DELHI-Immigration@international.gc.ca

The difference is only in the email address and Subject line. First one had my application number and name while the second had just Passport Request Letter.

Do you think there is some issue here and is there anything I need to worry about?

If the email was regarding your PR application being approved, then normally the email subject is "READY FOR VISA". Did the content of email specified that your applicantion is approved? If yes, then no need to worry!!

Don’t worry . You r safe

1-By all means ur passport is in safe hands .

2-Take both the emails to Vfs center to clarify .

Well, it does not exclusively mention that the application is approved but I am assuming it is as they have requested my Passport for finalization. When I got the first email, I immediately went to VFS and submitted my passport. They checked the email and proceded with the transmission so I am assuming the email is legit and approved. Though it feels strange to receive another email but from a different email ID.

I agree, as VFS did oblige and took the passport after due verification. I will check with VFS once regarding 2 emails I received. I assume there may some system error while sending me the email

However, thank you for your reply, appreciate your support.

Cheers!!

Well if NDVO has requested your passport then your application is approved definitely. You mentioned that you received call from NDVO, did they specify anything about approval?

Well, Yes they did say that my application is under approval provided I land within the next 30 days, which I agreed then received the email the same day.

IMO, if VFS has accepted my passport and gone ahead with transmission then the second email can be ignored. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this.

Great! Relax now and concentrate on booking your flight to Canada. Good luck!!
