I am facing a difficulty in renewing my passport in Canada.
I had filled the application through BLS International services and sent all the documents by Canada post on 3rd of April 2020
It was showing that the package has already been delivered to there community box on 7th April.
When i checked the BLS website few days later it had a message that all documents had to be sent to the Brampton address but not at Toronto address. So by mistake i sent all these documents to BLS Toronto address due to which my original passport work permit and other confidential documents are stuck in the BLS comminity mail box. BLS is not able to pull my documents from there as they dont have any access to it because of the lockdown.
Then i tried contacting Consular services in Toronto to help. I also requested them considering my situation if they can allow me to apply for Emergency passport and then retrieve my old passport later but i didn’t got any helpful reply. I have been been in touch with both BLS and Consular services for over 2 months now but didn’t got any help to resolve my issue. Now everyone is telling me to wait till lockdown opens up.
Now due to COVID19 I amnot sure how long this lockdown will be inforced but I need a passport to apply for my work permit here in Canada and also for my immigration purposes otherwise my status will become illegal in Canada.
What can I do in this case?
