Hi,

I have a valid student visa, a valid study permit, and a valid work permit (required for my coop program) attached to a cancelled (due to passport renewal) Indonesian passport.

My new passport states that I am indeed the owner of my previous/cancelled passport (my old passport number is written at the back).

Will I be allowed re-entry into Canada with both my old and new passports, without having to reapply/renew my visa and permits?

Thank you so much in advance.

Regards,

Hi mead,

Thank you very much for your speedy reply. Much appreciated!

Just one more quick question, do you think the border officers would give me a hard time at the POE?

no they shouldnt for this reason read below section.
"13.15.Valid visas in expired passport"
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf04-eng.pdf

I see.

Yeah I have been researching myself and I came across ENF04/13.15 as well. It didn't mention anything about permits though, which is why I went here and decided to ask you guys just to make sure (immigration stuff always scares the living hell out of me).

Again, thank you so much. Take care!
