Passport Renew after applying inland application with owp

Hi,

I am from India. I am going to get marry in April. My spouse is from Canada. I am planning to come Canada to apply for Inland application in May with OWP. My passport is due to expire in November this year. I am planning to apply for renewal in April.

Whether my passport validity will impact my owp validity also ?

If you are renewing your passport in April and applying in May, then presumably your passport will be valid for many years, so not sure what you are worrying about.

Question is I will apply owp immediately after reaching there with old passport. Same time I will apply for new passport. In this way I will save some time. Once I get new passport, I will update them. Only doubt is whether validity of my old passport will decide validity of OWP or not ?

Your first post said you were applying first for renewal and then for PR.

Status is not granted beyond passport expiry. If the OWP is issued before your passport is renewed, it will only be valid to November. You would have to apply for an extension and pay the full $255 fees again.
