When passport request is received,

1) Can one take the passports to the visa office in person to have them stamped?

2) How long will this take?

3) Does the principal applicant have to go or can he send someone else?

Thanks.

Hello roger55,

1- principal applicant can drop the passport to the VO, authorized consultant or any person you duly authorize to do so using CIC related form

2- it varies, but usually between 4-10 weeks, we've seen cases in this forum with 3 weeks, while others 80 days!

3- as answered above

Cheers!

Thanks,
My mailing address is a P.O. BOX # , do you know if they can return your passports to P.O. BOXE address? If not, can one arrange to pick it up in person?

Passports will be returned through courier or registered mail. In all cases I've seen, courier was the delivery vehicle.

HI
If we have some visa rejected in our passport is it a problem? :(

As far I know, nothing in the immigration guide or law indicates that a visa refusal could be an issue, however, visa refusal from specific countries might encourage CIC to ask for more info or try to investigate the reasons behind refusals. If you sure that all is in order, I.e no criminal record or court order or similar issues like the ones mentioned in section9 in SCHEDULE-1: Decleration, then you shouldn't be worried.

Cheers!

Agreed with mezo
