I Received my RPRF last week. I mailed in my passport on Mar 21. Technically it should have been delivered the next day
on Thursday. I also used the Expresspost with Canadapost as instructed. Unfortunately, the last update with Canadapost
is that item was processed on Mar 22 at Stoney Creek. Since then nothing,,,,,
I have called them every day since then and opened an investigation. They just cant seem to find this package.
Its not at the plant and no where to be found. They are almost leaning toward the fact that its been lost.
I have emailed Buffalo and obviously I got the generic answer that we cant track all the parcels coming in.
So that was unsuccessful. I'm really frustrated and disappointed as why this package cant be just found after a week.
I really dont know what to do, and as you know it would take a long time to apply for a new passport and all.
I really appreciate if any one could just give an idea, should I just wait or go ahead and apply for a new passport??

Your passport is not lost. :D Stoney Creek is the last place the package is scanned before delivery to the Fort Erie address, which is a P.O box, hence no one to sign for it. Packages are picked up daily from there and delivered to the Buffalo office. I sent mine there and just kept tracking the return envelope until I got it back. You should expect yours in about 15 business days.

I agree - it most likely was delivered.

My experience with Canada Post is that they frequently mess up the scanning - either fail to make a scan, or several times, they'd scan it as "delivered" the day before it was actually delivered. GRRR...

Thanks guys so much, that puts me in a better position mentally. I really hope that is the case. I guess I 'll just wait for a couple of weeks
to see if it turns up.

One suggestion I have or more like an expereince when I sent my passport. If you send Buffalo an e-mail you would get a generic reply, but if you make a case specific enquiry they would actually reply you with valuable info. But in your case since the pacakge si in queue so they still probably won't have much for you. But it's worth to give it a shot to see if you get any valuable reply.

Also, I don't understand if your passport was delivered it should have updated on the canadapost website and also........Did you select a signature on delivery option or without it?

Also one other thing I had to do I got in touch with Fort Eri main post office and forced them to locate my package and sure enough it was just lyiong around there and supposed to be returned to me few days before that enquiry.

Anyways long story short, try these methods as they were helpful for me because my pacakge was unnecessarily delayed by Canadapost as well.

Hope this helps!

I just dont want to send an case specific inquiry to bug them. I have contacted the post office and they said that package is not in their
office. they suspect that that they have delivered it without a scan. I think is best to wait for a couple of weeks. after if still no news,
Im going to check with the bank to see if money order was cashed or ultimately get the MP's office to send an email to see if they have
my stuff or not.

Thank u any how big time for all the suggestions,
Really appreciate it,

There is nothing wrong with a case specific enquiry if you have a valid concern or reason. But if you just bug them again and again just to ask them when will I hear something about my case then yeah that's not a good sign. You really don't have to stretch this to your MP. It wouldn't go that far. But yeah it's not a bad idea either to wait and see if your check get cashed. It should happen betwwn 10-14 days.

Good Luck buddy!
