passport: no signature

we renewed our passport to e-passport... my minor son 12 years old, doesn't have a signature in his e-passport! is the signature on the passport really matters?

I don't know what country you are from, but in the US a minor childs passport wouldn't have their signature anyhow. They aren't legally old enough to sign any 'formal' documents.

so what are the rules/laws regarding minors signatures in your country? You said your son is only 12 so I would think that he can't yet sign any legal documents. If you are that concerned then contact the department that issues the passports and ask them if this is proper or not. If it is not, then you can have it remedied.
