Just had a query. It's regarding my wife passport who is the secondary applicant and her passport expires on Aug 2021. IRCC states:
'If you're applying through Express Entry, you should renew your passport if it expires within 6 months from the day you apply for permanent residence. Then, update your new passport information in your application. This will ensure it's valid when we process your application.'
Does this mean that her passport MUST be valid for 6 months when you apply and provide all documents after receiving an ITA?
OR
Can she apply with a passport with an expiry date with less than 6 months and later update it when the new passport is received?We haven't received an ITA yet but just wanted to be prepared.
