Passport expiration, no PR issued yet

Dear friends,

My wife's passport will expire in May-2015. Our application was received on July 31st and according to SS our PER will be issued next month. We are planning to take a trip to USA in March-2015 and due to that we need to request a new passport for her what would cancel her current one which is the same filled in the application for the FSW2014.

* Can we fly from USA to CANADA in order to proceed with the landing? We live in Brazil.

* Is it possible to change the passport number in the application after it is transfered to our Local VO?

* Would this expiration date be a problem for the CIC/Local VO to issue our PR ?

Suggest that you renew the passport now and inform your local VO of the new passport after they contact you.
