Passport Entry Stamp

Hi,

I came to Canada on a work permit last year from India . Recently when I checked my passport and work permit , I noticed that entry seal was stamped on the work permit rather than passport page. I guess this was a mistake from officials which I just noticed. I am planning to go for a vacation back to India. Will this create a issue at the port of entry in India or Canada? if yes, how Can I correct this?

Please help.
 
There wont be any problem ,as I have the stamp on work permit paper rather than on passport ,and i have gone to India 2 times in last 1 year.

But only problem will be whenever your work permit is renewed then they will take out that paper and paste new one so stamp will go with it ,so not sure how can we get it fixed but we should.
 
I think you will keep your old work permit, so all you have to do is carry it with you if you think it's a concern.
I have all of my old work permits, you don't have to surrender it.

When you are issued a PR visa, they will ask for your work permit to be surrendered. As far as i know my friends were asked to surrender their present work permit, not sure about the old one.

Hi All,

I was not asked to surrender my old workpermits. They didn't even ask for the same. Its ok if you have stamp on your Workpermit. They have all the records with them. There won't be any issue with the stamping on work permit.
 
What if they stamp on your landing paper?

As actually in my passport they have stamped on landing paper .... as they do take landing paper once you have new work permit.

I had work permit of 2008 ,but when i came back in 2012 with new work permit they took out the old landing paper.
