Anyone have this request from Manila (or any where )?

What is the Appendix A Passport?

Why would they require another criminal record check if the one issued with PR application was received under the 3 months limit?

Well Bartjones has.

I am thinking that the criminal record check is probably just a VO inexperienced in handling PR applications from Korea. (this is obviously in reference to Bartjones, and probably the rest of us Korea based applicants, situation)

You might want to notify the case officer that you DID indeed send in the record check with the application and confirm if they need another one. They may have misplaced it.

My wife was asked for her record check and we were confused since it was included in the application. We feared they lost it. We clearly let them know we had sent it in. 3 days later we get an e-mail back from the case officer saying that they found it and not to worry.

This was CPP-Ottawa.

As I said in the other thread, they now tell me there was a problem with the CBC we submitted. It didn't include a "lapsed records search", even though my wife showed the folks at the police station the sample Korean CBC request from CIC's website when she obtained the search. Now I've got to do the search again, which is going to be tough since we're both living in Ontario.

I guess the lesson there is that you need to check the search result the Korean Police Service gives you to make sure they conducted all 3 required searches. I don't read Korean and, as such, had no way of knowing it was insufficient when I submitted it with my wife's application.

I don't know why they need that Appendix "A" document, but the Manila VO says you can just fill it out, scan it and email it back to them, so it's an easy request to comply with.
