So it appears I had misunderstood something, maybe my memory is playing tricks on me. But at my university this semester due to covid, if you get an F in a course, you AUTOMATICALLY get the notation (disc) which is the same notation one might get if they drop the course. Now the uni says they still consider you full time but that the immigration officer will still require an explanation but here's the problem for me.
Last spring, there also was a pass fail option and I had gotten an F that got turned into a DISC, which means I only had 3 letter grades, which might make it seem like I was part time when I really was full time. But I sent a study permit renewal demand 2 months ago and I am still waiting on the results, but I had already explained on it everything and the reason why I had a disc, however, it looks like the same thing might happen again this semester and I might also get an F that will be turned into a disc, leaving me again with only 3 letter grades (times have been tough these past few months), however since my demand is already sent and so I won't be able to explain the disc for the fall (I only did for spring) because I didn't know the same thing would happen, I am afraid they would reject my demand based on that. I am not sure how much they even look into the school that offer this option .
Frankly, automatically changing your F into something that doesnt impact your letter grade is one thing, but it is quite retarded to give it the same notation as someone who dropped the course and I know I am going to be stressed out until I hear a response
