Hi everyone,

I have a question about the Federal Skilled Worker's experience requirement.

It is said here that an equivalent amount of experience in part-time work can substitute for continuous full-time employment. My questions are:

a) Do the part-time employment periods have to be continuous (at least 24 months each)?

b) Does part-time experience with less than 15 hours/week count?

c) Does part-time experience acquired during full-time study count?

Much appreciated,
Danny

a) Depends. Are you looking to meet the eligibility criteria with part-time work experience?

b) Yes.

c) Depends. Work experience during canadian or foreign studies?

Clarification:

a) I am trying to meet the eligibility criteria with only part-time work.

c) This is part-time work experience during foreign study (PhD in the US).

a) Yes, as long as you get the equivalent work experience to a full-time year of continuous work experience you will qualify.

c) It will count.

Thanks so much DelPiero07. So just to confirm, if I worked part-time:

9 months + 9 months + 12 months (with gaps) at 13/hours per week = 1560 hours

it would still satisfy the condition, right?

If there are gaps you wouldn't meet the continuity requirement.
