Hello everyone, so now I am finally glad to be back in canada and have a part-time job.

What are the chances I'll get through the stage one with the part-time employment?
The thing is the place is offering me a full-time, as well, but I don't really want to go back to what I used to do and was hoping to get something better and full-time (I have some ideas)

What should I do - I can probably suck it up for a year or so (plus the other job hunt isn't going too well - no results whatsoever) and get on board with this full time offer. We had the medicals done so we got 11 months left (before we'll have to do them again I guess, which wouldn't be too pleasant) On the other hand I really feel like I should keep my options open and hope to find a job I'd really love.

Anyways, I hope I made sense with all of this - did I? Let me know what you guys think.

Regards and thank you

Part time is fine. You just have to be able to show that you will be able to provide for who you sponsor.

There are no income requirements for spousal sponsorship. Many people get approved while out of the country, or even as a student.

Your part-time job will suffice. Just make sure to give a detailed explanation of how you intend to support your spouse and yourself once in Canada. List job searches you are currently doing now to show your intent to find full time employment.

CIC just wants to know your not going to fall on welfare(social assistance). I also included a letter saying I will be living rent free for a long as needed(in a home my parents own but do not live in) and also that I have them for financial support should I need it.Anything similar you can include will help too, but others have included less I am sure.

I was not working much at the time and was approved no problems, although I was worried too!

Take Care
