Hi there,
I'm very new to this process, but I was hoping somebody could clarify for me whether I have the part time equivalent to a year of full time work.

I was employed for 25hrs for 90 weeks (between 23 March 2009 and 10th Dec 2010). This is a total of 2,250hrs which seems more than enough, or do I have to have worked there for the entire 2 years?

You have more than 1 year of full time equivalent. It is not counted based on the number of years.

Thank you. Are you certain of this for FSW?? There are alot of people saying that they will only consider 24 months with hours between 15-30 per week to be eligible for FSW.

They don't know what they are talking about.

Ok, so you also think my calculations are correct to be eligible for FSW? I just don't want to start any application unless I am certain. As this only equates to just over 1 year full time experience by this calculation it is make or break for me.

This is not a matter of opinion, it is certain that you meet the equivalent of a year of full-time continuous work experience.

Ok. So today I tried calling CIC (was on hold for at least 40 minutes and still didn't get through) and then decided calling the number listed on this website. The guy in the attorneys office told me that there is a 24 month rule for part time. Hence why I have such a headache! Even lawyers are giving me contradicting answers.

No such rule exists.

Do you find any such rule in the CIC link above? If CIC doesn’t say it, then i believe there is no such rule.
