Hello tax experts.

I worked as a FTE for the same company (Company A) from September 2016 - October 2020. I started work as a FTE in November 2020 (Company B).

Company A wanted to keep me around while they filled in the void I left haha, so I signed a contract for approx 20 hours per week for the months of November and December - it was flexible, more like don't do more than 20 hours. So some weeks I did 10, some 20, etc.

I invoiced them monthly and kept back roughly 40% of each invoice for tax purposes. I earned about 10k for those 2 months and I have kept back 40%

My question is where in my tax return do I include that information? I have not received any T type forms from my contract employer. Even with the 10k over those 2 months, I am still in the same salary/tax bracket - 98k-151k.

I am using TurboTax to file and just looking for where I plug my contract numbers in so I can pay the tax I owe.

THanks,
Andrew

Sounds like you've been working as a freelancer for Company A. In which case, I suspect they won't send you a T-type form.

You can declare this income from Company A as a business income and fill out the T2125 form on your 2020 taxes.
