Hi All

need some advice for parents visit visa rejection.
1) Purpose of visit was family visit and this was not considered justified. Had attached property papers and the pension papers of falong with CA net worth certification of 250000 CAD .Another child is living back home but in a different city than that of parents.

2) Funds were shown as fixed deposits of 20000 CAD in each of parents account as the IRCC website specifically says that inviter financial documents not to be a reason to reject. The inviter’s job letter and recent pay slips of 4 months were attached.
applied for just 1 month of visit. Thus, second rejection reason was assets and financial situation. 40000 CAD in total, I thought was sufficient.
Need some help from experts.
No mention of IRPR particular sections but just the link of IRPA and IRPR was mentioned.
Two generic lines followed the links :

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

My parents visitor visa was also rejected on these generic reasons. The most recent rejections are getting this exact generic reason.
But I gave visit for 4 months with 80k CAD. I guess these are just generic rejections. if we apply with same file we might get. I'm thinking to shorten stay to 3 weeks and apply only for mom with father as tie back home.

Did you apply for GCMS notes?

did you choose to visit as tourist option or to visit non dependent child initially. In your case it seems to be very strong 40 k for 30 days visit I don't get how is that not strong financial :( BTW I don't think fixed deposit is considered liquid cash. I am not sure. It is good to mention it but also better to show like a savings account in their name.
Try to apply again if possible try to apply separately. Once your mom gets you can apply for your father.

When did you move to Canada? For a TRV the visitor’s finances are the most important. Having liquid funds are what is primarily looked at because IRCC wants to see that the person visiting will be able to cover travel expenses and any other costs when in Canada.

Proof of the applicant’s finances is more important than the children’s finances in Canada. There have been approvals when parents have not shown strong finances but in general IRCC wants to see that parents have their own savings and can cover their own travel expenses. It is not unheard of for families to argue and then refuse to cover expenses which can lead to visitors being stuck in Canada without funds for hotel and travel home. That is the reason that visitors are usually required to show that they have the savings even if they don’t end up paying for their own travel.
