Hello to all... I have a question regarding of my parents tourist visa.. they applied for a 6 months multiple entry visa not the parents visa and when they received their visas from immigration in Manila Philippines it says there that the visa is valid for two years. They arrived here in Canada last May 25, 2013 and their passport dont have a stamp telling when are they going to leave canada. My question is I want them to stay for another year since I am going to have a baby on april 2014. Do we need to apply for the extension of stay or no need since there is no stamp and the visa is valid for two years? please help.. thank you

You are going to have to apply for an extension because you have a multiple entry for two years as many times as you want within the two years. You can apply online they recommend that you apply 30 days before the visa expires. You will be on implied status after you apply until you get an answer.

If there are no dates written under the visa then it is valid for 6 months.

Agreed - you need to apply for an extension. No stamp = you were allowed in for six months.

would this be called visa extension?? coz his visa is valid till 2 years...its just that residing period is 6 months which needs to be extended....
