Is it possible to sponsor parents before issuance of PR? My PR would be given by January 2011 and I want to take my mother along with me. How can I take her along?

1. No
2. To sponsor a parent you have to earn the Low Income Cut off figure in the year prior to submitting the application from Canadian sources.
3. At present the time for approval/refusal of parental application is 39 months in Mississauga and another couple of years or so at the overseas office. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp
4. You will not be able to bring your mother with you when you "land' most likely.

PMM: What are other ways that I can take my mother along? If my mother wants to visit me in canada can she come as family visitor? I want her to be in canada for maximum time.
