Parents sponsorship under new proccess

Hello,

I would like to sponsor my parents under family class. As I understand the current stream will reopen on Jan 2 next year.

Besides getting all the documents ready and proof of income for the last 3 years can i send the
Application to sponsor a member of the family class? Can i get approved as a sponsor now or do i need to wait until January?

Also how long does approval as a sponsor take?

The forms can very well change in January. Just keep getting proof of what they are asking now . Check back again in January, and send off asap . Only a limited amount are being excepted from what i have heard .
