I am new on this forum and want to find any useful info that can help me with sponsoring my parents. Currently, they have super visa. Any idea when IRCC gonna open the program for parents? Meantime, what can be done ?

Expect some announcement by the fall. All you can do is wait. Remember it is a lottery that is oversubscribed so your parents may or may not be selected.

Sponsoring parents to live permanently in Canada is never guaranteed. I wish the government would clarify this. People are under this false impression. With the increased immigration numbers and ageing population only a fraction of people immigrating will be able to sponsor their parents. The recent supervisa visitor length leads to even more confusion and many will be in for a shock when they are asked to return home after a very long visit or an illness and they are unable to renew their supervisa insurance.

Yeah I ajve heard the same but how can we be a part of the lottery? As in how to get their names in?

It's not open at this time. Look for announcements on the IRCC site regarding when the program will open.

Read through requirements for past years and lotteries to see if you meet LICO over the 3 years as PR/citizen.
