My parent's sponsorship application is currently in process.

My father (75 years old) has CKD Stage 4. He has been given a stable/positive outlook for the next 5 years by a kidney specialist, but I fear he might be rejected due to excessive demand on healthcare.

My parents have a 10 year multiple entry visitor's visa on hand. If my father is refused PR due to health grounds does that automatically mean he is no longer able to travel to Canada as a visitor?

My parents would rather have the option to travel than never be able to visit Canada. So should i recall their PR application before it is refused?

Appreciate any insight. Thanks!

No - the visitor visa won't be canceled if PR is refused. Go ahead and let the PR application be processed - maybe things will work out. If not, you always have the visitor visa he can continue to use.

Thank you Scylia. Should I get an opinion from an immigration lawyer on this or are you aware of similar cases?
