Will CIC continue to accept/take P & GP applications on lottery basis for coming years ? or CIC just has adopted lottery system to finish previous backlog of P & GP applications in coming years ?

Are you asking about the govt's policy? No idea but I think they'd make the process better.

Old backlog still exists in many offices and in system, but that's got nothing to do with current system.
CIC's processing is a mess.
They could easily move to barcoded forms for everything so data entry and all that is quicker but nah they're still old style.
It will take more decades to clear backlogs, but by then there would be more new backlogs.

Expect the lottery to be a permanent part of parents sponsorship going forward.
