Parents and Grandparents sponsorship reapplication?

Hello everyone!
I am just really confused right now, me and my cousin submitted the interest to sponsor form last 2020.
Unfortunately, we weren’t selected.

so here’s my question, both of us didn’t reapply for the parents and grandparents sponsorship because we thought that the form we submitted last 2020 will be automatically submitted for the 2021 draw. That the 2021 draw will be based on the remaining pool from 2020

did we just missed the opportunity again by not reapplying? Or we both understood that there’s no need to re apply?

we are so confused right now, since someone told us that we should’ve re applied.

please enlighten us.

There was no need to reapply. Anyone who wasn't selected in 2020 was automatically in the draw for 2021. You weren't selected again in 2021.

It was impossible to apply again in 2021. IRCC wasn't accepting new entries into the pool. Someone doesn't know what they are taking about.

Sad to say she is really bad at her job and extremely uninformed. Please do not hire her (or her agency) for anything related to immigration. If she doesn't know this basic fact, it scares me what other simple things she may not understand.

Anyway, you are 100% right and she is 100% wrong. She needs to quit her day job. She's obviously no good at it.

You don't need any immigration consultant to fill in the interest to apply for your parents.
Once the new interest to apply link is available, I am sure ppl will post it here in the forum.

Hopefully, it will be some time in 2022.

You don't need an immigration consultant / agent. Do it yourself.

We see too much bad information and too many errors by agencies here that impact applications.

I mean look at your friend. She works for an immigration consultant / agency and she gave you horribly wrong advice on the 2021 PGP draws. That's just one of many examples here.
