Hello,

I would like to know how early is a permanent resident eligible for starting a parental sponsor?
Also if somebody could throw some light on the process, I would be obliged.

Hey Nick,

Currently, parental sponsorship is on hold and you can not apply. see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp

You can only apply for a "super visa" (staying up to 2 years in the country) and the details are on CIC website, here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/supervisa.asp
