I have a question regarding the Step 1 and Step 2 timelines for Parents Sponsorship. I applied for my parents sponsorship in 2010 and got a letter in Nov 2010 saying that they received the papers. Finally in Nov 2014 got another letter from CIC saying that they are opening our file and need additional documents such as Notice of Assessments, Police Clearance, Landing fee and bunch of CIC forms. Got another letter in March 2015 saying that the file now complete and they will contact us if they need any other documents. As it has already been 6 months so I checked with the Call Center and according to them it takes 1 year to make a sponsorship decision. Further I asked the Agent how long with it take for Step 2 for New Delhi Office and according to him it will be 77 months based on what he is seeing in the system.
Now my question is seriously does it take that long for Step 2 from India ? If that is the case then I am seeing a total processing time of 11+ years, this is crazy. I will really appreciate if someone is also in the same boat and share their valueable feedback...specially for the Step 2 77 months...
