Hey guys and gals. I am getting a bit overwhelmed with what to apply for and when I should apply for it. I've been in Canada for about two and a half years so far and was granted a 12 month post graduate work visa after completing my Primary Care Pramedic schooling in BC. I worked my ass off for a year and have now begun more schooling for my Advanced Care Paramedic schooling (which I'll get a diploma from).
So here's my questions:
1. I am wanting to apply for the Skilled Worker and Express Entry for my PR but don't know if I should wait until I get my diploma or if I should just use my current certificate from schooling in BC.
2. On my paystubs I get paid pager pay and station pay which translates to my bi-weekly cheques saying I've worked over 250 hrs in that period. Is that something that qualifies for the 1950 hrs within a year? Or do they just accept my station wage? I don't understand...
3. If my girlfriend and I are common law and have been filing taxes together here for the past two years would it be easier and faster for her to sponsor me?
I'll need to start work immediately after finishing my program and the job prospects are huge and needed around Canada. I just don't know what to go after or my chances of making through the express entry (nor have any idea of how long it takes).
Any advise would be most helpful!
Regards,
-Ryan
